Adam Delaney -

Adam Delaney, my good friend, recently died in a horrendous snowboarding accident at Keystone resort. He was a great rider and loved to snowboard. I had the opportunity to ride with him on a few occasions and loved every one. He always had the drive to be better and was always pushing the limits. He would bust himself

up on a jump, roll over laughing and then try it again. He would come into work on Monday mornings in pain (and on one occasion a sling) and just talk about his adventures on the mountain. Penny and I had a chance to ride with him on a windy day in Vail. I remember standing at the top of the mountain looking down at the bowl in amazement. The mountain was beautiful. It seemed like there was an endless amount of snow and the powder was waste deep. We shredded down the mountain loving every second of it. Then, we got to the line. We waited in the life line for 2 1/2 hours before we finally got a ride out.

As some of you may know, I proposed to Penny on top of Keystone mountain. Adam was with us on that spectacular day and rode away just minutes before I had the opportunity to ask Penny to be my lovely wife. I will never forget that day for two reasons now.

In the workplace, Adam was always willing to help. He was a very laid back individual but always managed to get his work done. I loved working along side him. He was young at heart and was always looking for ways to spice up the office life. We need more people like Adam in this world. I don't think there was anyone that didn't enjoy his company. Which brings me to my next quick story. I arrived to work on a Monday morning around 7 am. I stopped by Adam's desk to talk about the weekend when low and behold, the man was asleep. There was no waking him. If you have heard about this video, wait no more. Here it is.

To my friend Adam, I will miss you dearly. I know that God will take care of you and it's selfish of me to want you back. But, I do. When I join you in heaven (hopefully God lets me in) then we'll have that decathlon that we always talked about. I think I'll take you in Beer Pong but I know you'll get me in golf.... Rest in Peace Adam.
